SUMMARY OF THE DAY

We started discovering co-creation, community and hope early in the morning on the playground with Check in rope game. 

Through the day we explored core methodologies and tools in the Knowledge Expedition sessions. In the afternoon we focused on the core theme of the day: Co-creation and Communities, as we worked on concrete projects called by 10 participants as part of the Designing the Wiser Action process. This process closed with a gratitude circle and closing circle.  We ended the training by forming the infinity loop with participants in the room. Each participant moved around the room in this form, meeting each other, saying goodbyes with our eyes and becoming aware of infinitive possibilities we have to meet again, to live and act like we have had during the training in the future. The loop of higher intention for the event, with elements of hope, trust, courage, self-confidence, personal leadership and co-creation of community, has become true … the seed of these qualities was sown…


KEY LEARNINGS ABOUT TEAM WORK

We started discovering co-creation, community and hope early in the morning on the playground with Check in rope game. Key learnings about the team work:
  • Sense when to lead and when to follow.
  • Play your individual role but dance as a team.
  • Joy and fun in co-creation.
  • You don t need a strategy for chaotic structure, but you need strategy to create order.
  • The power of challenge connects/unites people.
  • Co-create and follow the flow.
  • Focus common purpose.
  • Synergy.
  • Appreciation.
  • Understanding common work = synergy.
  • Support each other.
  • Trust the process.
  • The importance of integrating all parts from start.
  • Global overview vs. local one.
  • Trust – let go of control and everyone will do what is needed.
  • Collective consciousness.
  • Trust to the members.
  • Playfulness.
  • Follow the flow.
  • Trial and error.
  • Eat what you cook :).

DESIGNING FOR WISER ACTION

Ten participants stepped forward with courage to invite help to develop their projects. Design teams formed around the following project:

  • K77 Studio - Building an active community around an Alternative Movement arts community space in the heart of Berlin (Liz)
  • Community Statenberg - Creating  sustainable community in service of Statenberg Manor so it can in turn serve the community. (Mel and Franc)
  • How to move forward from this training (AoPL Slovenia 2014), locally and regionally? (Marjeta)
  • Promoting a culture of peace in Ha. Py through an international event 'Coming together for Peace' (Joelle)
  • World Economic Forum - how to incorporate participatory processes into the organisation and associated events (Gill)
